Here come two sideshow views…

… to round out the striptease before the lid goes back on.

More unexpectedness surfaced in the menu which omits all gain adjustments. Control over the display's behaviour includes bright/dim/off, timed off and never off. Timed off leaves only the small mode icon/s to its far right lit which double as obvious 'machine is on' reminder.
Whilst the display is fully lit, it presents as shown on my desktop.

Why Laiv probably need no multi-stage gain came clear with aune's SP7000. Stout SPL equalled 30dB below the 4Vrms signal from the Harmony's XLR outputs. The HP²A's attenuation has a nicely gradual taper for fine 'slow' steps. With another 30dB below where I listened, even cans of higher-than-average sensitivity should have plenty of room to sing without coming on too strong. The available volume range covers from zero cut aka full tilt so 0 to -60dB in single steps. Next we see what does the heavy lifting: this quartet of p/n-channel lateral Exicon Mosfets for one side. The four of the other channel hog the opposing cheek of the block sink.
