I reached completion and rack population like so. The deeply seated spikes in the floor shoes made sliding the entire assembly into place very easy. On hard floors that's a neat bonus whenever one changes cables. Pull out the rack, turn it for easy access to the rear, then push back when done.

Time to hit play. Before we do, a basic reminder. Human hearing is incredibly adaptive. That's why it's key to catch whatever contributions a newcomer makes in the first half hour. Now the familiar old still dominates, the new is at it freshest and potentially most different. Anytime later and our ear/brain already recalibrates itself. Components are more easily swapped back, full racks not so much. So I listened to a few familiar tracks on the wooden foot stool first, then used the same ones afterwards.
