Chaos tamed – Or it soon will be down low with the 2×15" subwoofer nearing completion at the Swiss sound|kaos labs of Martin Gateley. Given its dipole-related dispersion principle of lateral out-of-phase nulls plus reduced rear radiation from the Alex Ridthaler RiPol alterations, this passive design with Audio Technology woofers and outboard xover/amp will exploit directional bass when it bows. That means much reduced room interactions while the open principle eliminates box talk. Solid construction from stacked Birch ply adds its own inertia. Further details TBA.
