Following the last sentence of the prior page, good common sense—there's also the kind that's just common—sees primary employment opportunities for Vermillion Power in the wall⇒power-bar connection preceding our entire system; and/or power amplifiers particularly of the beefcake sort. The latter in fact make a good stand-in for realistic expectations. Pick up a more powerful amp in a given line. Over our smaller amp, we usually get the same sound just bigger. Common descriptors for that effect are greater overall authority, grander dynamics, firmer richer bass and from it, more body. Given that power cords become extensions of a hifi's power supplies where amplifiers work them hardest, this correlation isn't specious but solid. It even extends to switch-mode power. Standard common sense assumes that high efficiency means generic cords will do just fine. Actual experience finds otherwise. Current-capable SMPS in power amps like my Pascal-based GoldNote PA-10 Evo monos react extra appreciative. The 'figure 8' IEC on my Topping monos' external SMPS prevented me from including them but the GoldNotes' standard IEC once again proved the rule. Despite seeming counterintuitive, there's widespread consensus in fact about switch-mode power reacting very notably to proper power delivery. My desktop test against some spare generics confirmed it.

Seeing red for bull's eye. Just as obvious as that turn of phrase is the relevance of proper power cords over freebies particularly on more demanding loads. Just don't expect a network switch to transform. If you're already voyaging on the good ship Proper, the extent and type of change which Virtual's Vermillion can make particularly on your higher-draw gear will by necessity narrow and shrink. What remains in play just modulated in magnitude is the core voicing: beefy yet disciplined, rich not rampant, dynamic never docile. Which parameter will change depends on what you already have. The two pointy horns on Grzegorz's bull are selling direct to eliminate middlemen margins; and having a year to avail ourselves of his volume discount whereby the cord/s we already have count towards future deductions within that time period. Other than digital, the growing Virtual catalogue can now wire up a complete system, even offers two different speakers to anchor it with; isolation footers; and op-amp upgrades. For a newer one-man brand, that's surprisingly ambitious and productive. Again, those who can, do; those who can't, teach; those who can't teach, criticize… in other words, review…
