What did I say earlier? "Just listen to music and forget all about the tech." That was indeed the motto of this speaker. Instead of a superficially spectacular sound only fetching when sampled for a short time, the Klangheim Gloria focuses on the long term so a very coherent natural character that comes across as very honest and resolved yet never mercilessly exposed to remain pleasant for long hours. The Klangheim is definitely more of a do-it-all than prima donna to convince on many disciplines rather than hot-rodding a few at the cost of others. At this price anyone looking for sheer bass shove and maximum macrodynamic punch has alternatives but that was predictive given the room-friendly dimensions. In comparison, it's actually quite astonishing what Gloria can do in the bass range whilst still booking the extremely practical tuning option thanks to adding different weights to the passive radiators. So if a very harmonious long-term-happy performance and high resolution with a naturally balanced tone are most important to you plus real craftsmanship and very comprehensive finish options, get in touch with Jörg Weber from Klangheim. His Gloria definitely is a charmer.

Psych profile for Klangheim's Gloria:
- Fairly broad very balanced bandwidth. The presence region is a deliberate touch milder.
- Three passive radiators in the back allow for more LF substance than size could suggest but for the money and where size doesn't matter, more is possible elsewhere. The bass quality is more semi sec than bone dry.
- A very noteworthy feature is the ability to control bass reach, output and damping and with it, the overall tonality by varying the mass loading of the auxiliary bass radiators. This is very useful adaptability.
- The mid and HF bands are one coherent unit and fairly linear apart from the slight softness in the upper mids which contributes to long-term listenability. Resolution across this range is excellent and the open transparent harmonics covered by the ring radiator are particularly praiseworthy which reflects not least in highly differentiated natural-sounding tone modulations and timbre specificity.
- Gloria's microdynamics and impulse response are very good, macro dynamics astonishing relative to size, less so in relation to raw coin. Gloria isn't made for hardcore techno raves but more of an audiophile with good reserves.
- The virtual stage can start half a step in front of the baffles and depth and width appear realistic, neither compact nor sprawling. Gloria removes herself acoustically from the action by casting music freely in the room. The reproduction and plasticity of individual voices appear very authentic.
