Self-powered head shell – It's Yamamoto's new HSA-01 [¥72'000] which eliminates typical wiring by building in a small phono stage with x 14 amplification factor. The power source is a coin-type 3V CR1632 battery and the on/off switch a small slider on the top. The output voltage is ~0.9V and playtime on one battery about 60 hours. Claimed bandwidth is 10Hz-100kHz +0/-1dB.
