Paired bliss? – Teac's new phonostage/turntable combo would seem to promise just that. The TN-5BB is their new belt-drive turntable, the PE-505 the matching fully-balanced flagship phonostage. The table's chassis combines artificial marble, washi paper and MDF and comes fitted with a stainless-steel Seac arm and acrylic platter. Ortofon's 2M Red is the pre-assembled MM cartridge. The dual-mono phonostage accepts both balanced MM and single-ended MC signals, offers standard, Decca and Columbia RIAA and has selectable capacitance/impedance values and RCA/XLR i/o.
