Kratos… son of Pallas and Styx, divine personification of strength in Greek mythology. Now he's returning in the Sonnet Kratos, a 50w class AB mono amp that scales to 170 watts into 2Ω from a quartet of output transistors driven by a switch-mode power supply for just 300µV of RMS noise. Input impedance of 15kΩ/RCA or 60kΩ/XLR, 30dB of voltage gain, 400-watt power draw and wide bandwidth of 10-300'000Hz -3dB round out the basic specs. The photo is of the current prototype.
