Black Orpheus – It's Ratzov Tsenkov Audio Design's Orpheus phonostage for MM/MC. "The first stage is a direct-coupled ultra low-noise op-amp. The RIAA curve is realized with passive components. The second stage uses an ultra linear discrete op-amp. The differential input amplifier and output stage use discrete planar epitaxial Toshiba transistors. The extra MM gain is by step-up transformer. An input transformer equalizes the output impedance of the MC cartridge and input impedance of the first gain stage. Power comes from a 12V/2.3Ah battery for 6 hours of listening without charging. Orpheus is available in SE and EX versions."
