Rotel go headfi – The DX-3 [$1'499] combines an ES9028Pro DAC with a preamp and headamp in a 215 x 76 x 247mm chassis fit for a desktop with 32/384 PCM and DSD512 support on USB. 24/192 on coax, Toslink, wireless, Bluetooth plus RCA analog. Analogue on-chip volume control in ½dB steps is via NJW1195A, headfi connectivity with 3-stage gain on 4.4mm balanced and 6.3mm single-ended. Pre-outs are on RCA and XLR. A full metal remote is included.
