Virgo portrait? – The Portrait [€7'800/pr] in the Joachim Gerhard Collection as built by the furniture works of Rose Handwerk is a narrow 3-way reminiscent of the Audio Physic Virgo which Joachim designed a few incarnations ago. The new driver complement is a 26mm ceramic dome tweeter, matching 10cm midrange and two horizontally opposed 16cm ceramic woofers in an enclosure 100cm tall, 18cm wide and 39cm deep weighing 25.5kg. Efficiency is 86dB, nominal impedance 4Ω, bandwidth 30Hz-30kHz. The Extended Edition [€10'200/pr] upgrades the dome tweeter to a wave-guide loaded ribbon tweeter like the new Surveyor 3-way monitor with its Purifi midrange.
