LinnenberG S Class

S-Class – Here are the first photos of LinnenberG's new ES30 mono amp, VS30 DAC/pre and PS30 phono stage premiering at Munich HighEnd in Hall 4 stand U15. The amp is a 250/500/1'000W class AB circuit with 1MHz direct-coupled bandwidth and just 20µV of noise for a signal-to-noise ratio of 127dB/A. There's a 1.5kW power supply and fully balanced circuitry with 12 x 15A/200W bipolar transistors per phase half plus another 6 x 25A bipolar transistors for a virtual ground amplifier. The phono stage has three freely configurable MM/MC inputs and remote-controllable load settings confirmed by big display. It offers up to 70dB of voltage gain. The fully balanced preamp has 3 analogue inputs (2 XLR, 1 RCA), 4 digital inputs (USB, 2 x coax, AES/EBU) and two XLR analog outputs. The PCM384 and DSD256 ESS 9039Pro DAC requires no driver even on Windows. This design too is of wide bandwidth, a claimed 3.5MHz with 35ns rise time for 2V.
