FirstWatt SIT4

Fourth Sith? – It's FirstWatt's SIT4 [$5K], a new 10wpc class A stereo amp based on 400W/30A static induction transistors from Tolkin now that Nelson Pass' personal stash of Semisouth parts is depleted. Already planned are mono versions. They will exploit more of this beefy transistor's capacity beyond what a single chassis in this range can dissipate and back up by 2-channel power supply. But first comes the stereo amp whose triode-type load lines promise tube-reminiscent sonics without the effects of output transformers, tube aging or microphony. Speakers copasetic with just 10 watts are obviously mandatory.
