Carbonic debutante – At $499, Pro-Ject's newest Debut Carbon Evolution turntable doesn't cost an arm and a leg, just a toe. There's a one-piece carbon-fiber arm with integral head shell, electronic speed selection, a die-cast 1.7kg aluminium platter, dust cover and factory-mounted Sumino Rainier cartridge. The table is available in a range of nine finishes including varieties of eight-coat hand-painted high-gloss pastel colors or walnut veneer. The power supply is a multi-voltage universal unit.
