Chord's new HDMI cables – Chord Company adds the Epic [£500], Shawline [£250] and Clearway [£60] HDMI cables to their portfolio all with lifetime warranties. "Clearway HDMI takes materials and shielding to the next level with shielded plugs, increased bandwidth and thicker copper coated with a skin/foamed polyethylene insulation. Five pairs of conductors shield individually then are further protected by a twin aluminium-foil outer screen. Advanced construction allows runs up to 10m with support for 4K2K, 6Hz 18GBps HDR, HDCP2.2, Deep Colour, Ethernet/audio return, 1080p; 3D and all HDMI audio formats. Shawline uses a high-quality true HDMI 2.0 chip set at both ends plus the highest OM3 grade (over 10GB bandwidth) glass fibres not typical OM2 (up to 1GB bandwidth). In addition to full 4K HDR picture quality, high-speed Shawline benefits from the improved audio performance of optical fibre and is immune to HF noise. Shawline is available in 1-20m lengths, with custom lengths up to 150m by special order. The flagship Epic is an 8K-compatible optical/copper hybrid with extensive HF noise protection. Its copper elements have been uprated for improved mechanical isolation and the advanced HDMI 2.1 chip set offers maximum performance ideal for installations thanks to its into-the-future specification.
