Carbide's diamond – Taking a page from Ansuz and Nagra on using exotic material combinations for resonance control, Carbide Audio of Texas now offer a retrofittable Diamond upgrade [€329] to their existing Evo isolation footers. "We replace the solid top center section of the standard version with an additional isolator. Its ball bearings roll in solid ceramic races coated in PVD diamond. Extreme hardness allows the bearings to better dissipate vibrations. The upgrade includes a manganese and copper twin-crystal metal alloy. This exotic material has a damping capacity over 10 x greater than copper. We use TwinDamp™ in four critical internal areas."
