Beyond Panzerholz – The English name is tankwood. Its use in hifi was initially popularized by Auer Acoustics, Kaiser Acoustics and LessLoss. Now Carbide Audio introduce Picawood add-ons for their hybrid roller-ball/viscoelastic isolation footers. Picawood too uses compressed Ply like tankwood but thinner slivers of wood which are resin-bonded under still higher pressure.
