Hi Srajan, I had listened to your Darko podcast on the 3D-printed speakers from Poland and this industrial EMI filter and now just caught up reading your review on it. I found it interesting how that review developed along two diverging tracks. On one of them, the advertised EMI reduction confirmed over and over again with that little checker box. On the other, audible benefits factored in your most basic setup with the highest EMI exposure then flipped to sound less and less good than your existing filters in the two bigger systems. The possible explanation you offered, of there being an EMI threshold beyond which particularly more basic hifi power supplies don't do well, sounds rather plausible indeed. Power-line filtering after all is why we spend the extra money on massive filter capacitor banks and chokes in our pricier hifi components. And probably implied but you didn't mention it separately, there could be parts quality, chassis resonances and internal circuit execution where power distribution that is purpose engineered for audio still exceeds what this company does for its industrial buyers. If even a LessLoss power cord on this filter had it sound bright and hard, there clearly must be more to power delivery than just maximal EMI filtering. It now has me wonder how this chap from OnFilter will go about determining what to improve and how to do it should he plan on a hifi version of his filter. As you said, it should require an experienced listening panel and probably also a more open mind if his textbook learning already struggles with the usefulness of DC blockers. I already have a passive Titan power block from Belfast on order to upgrade my Belkin strip in the office. It's the only Irish hifi company I know of. This was organized before the OnFilter arrived. It probably won't do much if anything for the EMI swamp I measured there. So it's very possible that I'll still order a hi-current version of the CleanSweep from Vladimir to insert between the Titan and wall. I haven't decided yet because the Titan hasn't shown up yet. I first want to see how much it might improve the sound on its own. I should know in a few weeks how to proceed. Srajan
