Srajan, good luck with the move to the Shannon estuary! My first trip abroad when I was a U.S.-born sapling was to both Galway and Kilmahil as these were the birthplaces of my grandfather and grandmother. Interestingly they never met in Ireland; they both moved to Washington D.C. and that's where they met and where my father was born and where I was born, too!

Kilmihil is in the middle of County Clare and just north of the Shannon River. I'll be curious regarding where you and Ivette land. I applied years ago for foreign birth registration in Ireland and when I received it I also applied and received my Irish passport. As I am over age 66, that entitles me to free transportation around Ireland in perpetuity! Cheers, Michael Fanning

We landed on Friday, now it's Monday and the last of the moving trucks will show up this Thursday. My upstairs sound room is fully set up and sounding mega, downstairs is still awaiting the final goods and then I gotta crack open a mountain of boxes again. But them's the price of moving. We're very close to the Shannon Ferry Terminal if you remember that. Srajan
