Srajan, I know that you enjoy open-baffle speakers. Have you seen this yet? Klaus

If you follow the name to Morel's website, you end up with their car-audio division and a particular family of ultra-shallow drivers which can fit installations that won't take deeper drivers. As shown in your link, it's not an actual product. It's a clever display of the three drivers in that range which show off better this way than installed in a car. It's not a miniature 3-way open-baffle speaker for the home, sorry. If it were, that size woofer without even a modestly folded open baffle would make no bass. Even the photo caption on Mono & Stereo says "ultra-slim design for limited-space installs". The display tree per see certainly isn't ultra slim. It's the drivers themselves. That caption just omitted the word "automotive" perhaps to leave room for potential applications beyond car audio? I've previously seen narrow home-audio speakers use car-audio woofers precisely because they were unusually shallow, potent and engineered for high output in tight spaces. So it's well possible that these Morel drivers show up in home-audio speakers; just not in this particular configuration. Also, how would you place it? It's too stumpy to sit on a floor (that woofer is just 6½") so would need a stand and then really look odd. But like you I thought it looked intriguing so checked up on Morel's site. We got both fooled. Srajan
