Here are a few samples of Ivette's Nalanda Miksang photos. This type of photography tends to not be for display. It's simply the by-product of practicing the 'flash of perception' via a camera from which can develop a new way of seeing the world. There are exercises to look for simply shape; or colour; or pattern; the extraordinary in the completely ordinary. As such these photos merely document a phase in Ivette's life when she was practicing Chögyam Trungpa's instructions through her small Sony camera. As a writer I'm fond of saying that we can only write the way we think; and that without fail, writing reflects back to us how we think. In the same way, a visual artist like Ivette relies on her ability to see and visualize. It's something she constantly worked on and Miksang was one of the ways she practiced that.
