Kerr Acoustic of the UK's Cambridge hope to transition from pro to home with their new K200, a 3-way transmission-line über monitor in a 24mm Baltic birch-ply cab. There's a 60mm true ribbon tweeter, 3" midrange dome and 10" Volt Radial woofer. Finish options include oak, walnut and rosenut plus any satin or high-gloss RAL colour. Earth is a new cable range from Chinese electronics house Kinki Studio helmed by Mr Ivan Liu. It's the outcome of a "one-year collaboration with a cable manufacturer to develop our own line of studio-grade audio cables". The range encompasses power cords, RCA/XLR interconnects and speaker cables. Sheaths and dielectrics are DuPont PTFE, conductors mono-crystal copper plated "with 2.2 x the thickness of ordinary silver plate" then surface-polished. A central passive ring absorber "effectively reduces EMI above 100kHz". Connectors are copper with thick gold plating. Each terminated cable undergoes 3-stage -196C° cryogenic treatment. Speaker cable terminations are spade or banana. Intro pricing is RCA 1/1.5m/pr = $275/365; XLR 1/1.5m/pr = $295/385, speaker cable 2.5/3.5m/pr = $685/865, power cord 1.5/2m = $315/415.

Having teased their new über separates last year in a social media blitz, here finally are proper shots of the 790 preamplifier with elaborate internal suspension system.

Kondo of Japan will launch their new G-700 line stage and GE-7 phono preamplifier.

Going for an all-French o lala are Kora tube hybrid electronics with AudioNec loudspeakers.

Kroma Atelier of Spain's Granada have numerous speaker novelties, from the new Mercedes flagship to the open-baffle 4-driver 3-way Violeta. Like all their speakers, the Mercedes dresses in Krion, a synthetic stone composite similar to Corian or HiMacs. A central Mundorf AMT is bracketed by dual 6½" then 8" aluminium cones from Danish supplier Purifi. Duelund and Mundorf parts make up the crossover. The bass system is rear ported, overall sensitivity is 89dB/8Ω and weight for each 50x32x160cm speaker is a solid 138kg. Crew Kroma will not show at the Marriot Hotel as in previous years but at the MOC proper.

Linn of Scotland have their new 360 (for degrees?) flagship loudspeaker in fully active or active/passive guise, the latter only self-amplifying its bass system. This 5-driver 4-way combines a 19mm beryllium tweeter with a 64mm carbon-fibre midrange cone, 19cm upper bass and dual 22mm bass drivers, the latter three all with aluminium/magnesium alloy membranes. Fully engineered cabinet curvatures aim at optimized dispersion. Built-in gain is class AB and the Exact Integrated variant even builds in a D/A converter to interface directly with the company's DSM network music player. Pricing spans €55-87.5K/pr depending on trim.

The UK's Living Voice have 'the big one' in their Auditorium range by way of the new R80 [£52K/pr with outboard xovers]. Previewed at their domestic AudioShow Deluxe in late March, this model bridges the OBX and Vox models, scaling up the former's twin 6" array to dual 8" mid/woofers flanking a ScanSpeak Ellipticor tweeter. There's also a large rear port. Ancillaries will be "the first public outing" of the Grand Prix Audio Monaco V3.0 turntable with Kuzma Safir 9 arm, CAR 50 cartridge and Consolidated Audio Copper Nano Monster Can transformer. For alternate vinyl duty there'll be a Kuzma XL Air/Safir/CAR 60 combo and most likely a second 4P14 arm. Electronics will comprise an SJS Model 3 Premier phono stage, Model 7 Silver Premier preamp and Model 5 Silver Enhanced 300B power amp. Naturally all that elite kit will rest on the company's own G2 equipment supports and power from their signature Pure Music 600Ah battery power-supply system.

Miguel Lorenzo Castro, original co-founder of Kroma Audio, now helms Lorenzo Audio Labs with a catalogue already five deep also out of of Spain's Granada. Instead of Kroma's Krion, his preferred cabinet materials now are phenolic laminated wood with Panzerholz elements while for transducers he exploits paper cones with AlNiCo magnets, spread-tow carbon and beryllium compression drivers loaded into rectangular horns. New for the show is the right-most LM3 where 41mm phenolic wood panels constitute the cab and stand and conceal dual down-firing ports. The horn-loaded tweeter is an AMT, the 12" mid/woofer an AlNiCo paper cone. Crossover components are from Mundorf and Janzen. The floor interface of the stand is Panzerholz. Sensitivity is a whopping 94dB, bandwidth a claimed 25Hz-23kHz, dimensions with stand are 117 x 51.5 x 16.5cm HxWxD, total weight per channel is 45kg.

Lotoo of China will show their vaguely Nagra-esque battery-powered portable Mjölnir all-in-one in the booth of their German importer audioNEXT GmbH. Main specs are an AK4499 DAC, 2.5wpc/32Ω balanced power, Roon/AirPlay support, 94Wh battery and 2.7kg of mass. Analog outputs are on XLR and RCA and there are digital i/o, an SD card slot and USB media port.

Lumin of Hong Kong have their new U2 streamer with all-new processor, linear power supply, fiber-optic and dedicated USB⇒DAC ports plus PCM768 and DSD512 routing. They also have the new L2 music library and network switch; plus "another news announcement at the show".

Japan's Luxman have their new PD-191A belt-drive turntable with 5.2kg aluminium platter, 10" SAEC arm and head shell with Mitsubishi's finest dia-ultra crystallized copper wiring. The design has provisions to mount a second tonarm. The brushless DC motor gets its power from a sinewave/PWM power supply with reference clock.

The new Cue-100 from Denmark's Lyngdorf should turn a few heads. It combines an AMT tweeter with 6.5" Purifi aluminium mid/woofer on the front, one matching passive radiator on each side of the triangular cross-section cab. Finish options include a black, white or oak base with three detachable oak legs, black or white enclosures and a variety of colored grill socks. In trade for compact size and 35Hz claimed extension, sensitivity is a low 83dB.

Wherever a picture is worth a thousand words, Magico have new product announcements licked with far fewer words.
