If FiiO could introduce more than 40 products across 2025, why wouldn't China bow one new hifi brand in roughly the same period? FangSound by Fangshen Music of Shenzen apparently started trading globally via online retailers Linsoul and Elise Audio by late 2024 early 2025. The first models were the compact €359 Silenos, an 11wpc/32Ω minimalist head/preamp with built-in R2R DAC; then the scaled-up €1'370 Ariadne. The pocket-rocket €359 Prometheus dongle DAC/amp and €3'400 40wpc/32Ω Dionysus head/preamp followed. Common to all are butch milled chassis with 3D-sculpted radiator vents occupying the top and sides; model names engraved in Greek alphabet on the foreheads; and an absence of switches for the i/o on models below the currently top Dionysus. Aside from basic specs, details on the company behind the brand are still very scarce. If you learn anything of note, let me know so I can add it here. Given these pretty pictures, it looks like interesting kit to dive into deeper. I already got word in with their UK retailer. Perhaps he can furnish us with more background intel.
