It's a €14'500 humdinger of 33.7kg. Despite that weight and positioning, it's not their traditional class AB but D; with SMPS; and not just any D but one co-developed with Purifi then built in Marantz's Japanese premises. As though we needed it, it's yet more proof. This breed isn't only here to stay but winning endorsements well beyond the midfield. When a respected brand reaches for fast-switching output transistors to make a statement beyond what they can do with classic circuits, it does make quite the statement. And that's really all I've got today. Consider it another pebble in the shoe which keeps stomping on class D like a cockroach. Pebble. Sharpened. Now please put your whole weight on it.
