Several visits to Cube Audio rooms at sundry shows, Srajan's review plus my own experience with the smaller Magus all significantly raised expectations for Nenuphar. Still it managed to surpass mine by the proverbial country mile, then flourish into a terrific performer well beyond other widebanders I know. Nenuphar might look and feel too modest for its steep ask. Elsewhere we get more stuff dressed up more sharply. But as a representative of the purist single-driver breed, nothing else is required or desired. It's as compact as it can be to do what it does without auxiliary measures. Team Cube really pushed this topology beyond other cases I'm familiar with. This spells extensive R&D and innovation. In-house assembly on Polish soil, costly CNC machinery and regular dealer distribution impact the final tab as well. If it should prove too much, Nenuphar's raw F10 Neo drivers can be had for far less.
Two years ago the Cube Audio Magus proved that specialist widebanders can be fully domesticated and free from typical downsides. Nenuphar quickly reassured me again and truly delivered where it mattered – on ridiculously high notes of performance. During its stay, it swiftly blew away several seasoned aficionados who visited. Not one of them had seen any of it coming. Most importantly, enough times it left me speechless to emerge as one of the finest loudspeakers I've came across regardless of type and price.
