Furutech 2025

Each year our industry experiences a morning-after moment. It comes after the Munich HighEnd show opened its door to drop new product announcements everywhere. Granted, some brands have woken to the fact that leaking at least teasers a few weeks prior helps attendees assemble a must-see list to better navigate the sensory overload that is this largest European hifi event. But in broad strokes the statement remains true. There's the pre-Munich landscape, then the new post-show reality. For Furutech, the morning-after question shouldn't be necessary. With the Project V1-S, the brand just dropped their best-ever speaker cable to complete the Project V1 assembly of power cord, interconnect, tonearm and digital cable. It combines their trademark silver-coated OCC copper conductor and a Mitsubishi-sourced "ultra crystallized high-purity copper" aka DUCC version whilst their Nano Crystal² Formula aka NCF compound features in the banana and spade terminations to add noise-rejection properties.  A 2.5-metre pair sets us back €15'000. That's chunky change but given its flagship status in this catalogue, surprisingly contained considering what the competition charges for their best.

Also new this year is the €1'380/1.8m Origin Power NCF power cord and €2'260 e-TP609E NFC-N1 6-outlet passive AC distributor shown in the lead image. Should the morning-after jitters still have you worry, smiles all around ought to settle them. Furutech are still up to their old tricks of continuous improvements across all their product categories.
