Seta Audio is yet another German speaker house high on Heil which here means Mundorf's ATM tweeter as well as Mundorf crossovers. Reflected in the left speaker's cheek are room tuning panels on the side wall. In an all-white room (or painted to match the walls), this could be an acceptable home solution.

Shanling had one of their amplifiers in the Onix room. Like Rethm, they also have a new website.

Sieveking Sound GmbH showed their headphone stands, then Jan Sieveking was kind enough to submit two of his own photos of their Aura by April Music exhibit which I overlooked.

Out of alphabetical order but better late than never, Aura had two novelties - their Aura Note Premier which updates the Completer we previously reviewed; and the Aura CD Player and Amplifier separates. The Premier is still a one-box top-loading CD receiver with USB (one for iPod, one for PC), 2 AUX inputs, 1 pre-out for a subwoofer, an optical input and a headphone output. The Mosfet amplifier puts out 50wpc. The separates retain the same Kenneth Grange styling of mirror-polished face plates with dimmable red alphanumeric LED readouts. Technical highlights include PC USB connectivity, coax and Toslink digital inputs and outputs, selectable upsampling, balanced/unbalanced inputs and outputs and high power Mosfet output stages. Anticipated release date is August 2009. Amphion has been working with Aura on a matching speaker and a prototype thereof was already shown in Munich.

Silbatone Acoustics brought their radical looking hornspeakers and 300B integrated from Korea and fronted those components with dCS digital.

Siltech's Edwin van der Kley joined forced with his wife Gabi of Crystal Cable and Luke Manley of VTL.

Sonics by Joachim Gerhard, formerly of Audio Physic, also runs a Raal ribbon in this particular model. Serbian hifi is really making inroads.

Wilson Audio's reputation is such that who they choose for company becomes its own endorsement. In Munich, it was Swiss Soulution - one clever name if ever there was one. Wilson's new Sasha was present somewhere but I missed it.

Sound Performance Lab has a really serious headphone amplifier in the Phonitor 2730. For any headphone geek still kicking, seeing one is wanting one. Badly. Oy veh...

T+A has a really serious desk-top system in the Caruso - but goes well beyond that with other models, too.

Tadah TAD. For conventional dynamic speakers pushed to the limit, this firm is one of the players, with Andrew Jones at the helm of R&D.

A Bavarian in a Scottish kilt serving Glengoyne is a rare sight but Tannoy had it. Sláinte! That's Irish of course but we're amongst friends here.

Tit for
TAT Technology shown by Silicon Solution Stream SA. I earlier promised you another air-motion-transformer headphone and here it is, the Taket Model H2 which uses a piezo Heil unit for a claimed response of 10Hz to 100kHz.
