I admit it - Terence Wong's book Marques of Distinction published in conjunction with Audio Video International in Singapore inspired today's feature. Looking at audio from an artistic perspective, much interesting work continues to be done around the globe to push the aesthetic beyond the ubiquitous black component box and rectangular loudspeaker. Wong's book sports certain brands I hadn't heard of before or neglected to stay on top of - and considering myself reasonably jacked into the scene, it stood to reason that some of what follows could be news to you as well. Call it select images that set examples for Microsoft's "Think Different" campaign. Like those 26-steps self-help books, this highly incomplete whet-your-whistle pictorial invites you and yours for a Saturday afternoon window shopping spree down audio avenue to address that lust for eye candy without spending your kid's college fund.
