Angelis Labor will introduce the Metamorphosis Series in Milan, the reference Spiritual Series in Las Vegas - if an exhibit room can still be obtained there. Pricing for the former will be €10.900 for the Mikael single-arm table and €13.800 inclusive of cartridge - or €4.500 for the Mikael arm and €3.800 for the matching MC cartridge if purchased separately. The Hariel linestage without external power supply is €5.900, the equivalent Daniel phonostage with MM/MC €6.900, a pair of Iah-hel monos €8.800. The optional Rochel external tube power supply for Hariel and Daniel is €4.000, the Metatron transistorized version €2.400. (Pricing will be unilateral worldwide except for local taxes which aren't included.)

Going spiritual commands a very earthly €19.200 for the one-armed Gabriel deck or €26.400 inclusive of pickup. A four-armed Gabriel will set you back €44.300 while a separate Gabriel arm with installation accessories demands €7.900, the Gabriel cartridge €7.500 by itself. Announced for November of 2008 are the Sophia linestage and for February of 2009, the Bethor MM/MC phono stage and 7.5.-watt 300B SET Araton monos, their pricing TBA. This establishes the playing field.

Roberta and Stefano in the Bologna office, the other partners in Angelis Labor

The first 'spy' shots of the Metamorphosis components are of pre-production units, with minor cosmetic alterations possible. "To reiterate, we have formed a consortium of companies which includes Suono e Comuncazione's 18 years of experience, 40 trusted dealers and 5 high-end stores throughout Italy. Roberta Tabellini and Stefano Mazzoli there are the kind of professionals any of us would like as partners. Putting together the working teams of technicians in our various companies, we became aware of our combined brain power. This would be vital for our future and proved most desired. Allow me to mention the team individually for the great merits of its members: Annalisa, Davide, Fabrizio, Federico, Gabriella, Gaetano, Loris, Maria 1, Maria 2, Patrizia, Saverio and Stefano 2.

With the Milan show just two weeks out, giving away more seems counter-productive to the splash these Italian audio angels hope to make. We'll reserve further reporting on them for the actual show writeup then...
