This year our global team wrote out 23 award citations in three tiers - Lunar Eclipse, Blue Moon and Realsization. The award captions identify the component category. Clicking on each award links to the associated review. Our very rare top award fittingly fell on a digital streamer as though to signal that this 'disembodied' but networked way of listening to your tunes has truly arrived.

For amplification components we ended up with eight awards which span small-signal and power valves, traditional and switching output transistors. From ultra-powerful Austrian drive-anything tube monos...
... to a current-mode headphone amp from South Korea which was awarded twice, once by us, once by partnering Polish publication HighFidelity.pl whose Red Fingerprint distinction acquired a distinctly blue hue to signal the twin hit...
... to an ultra-wideband Austrian transistor integrated with top phono stage and advanced switch-mode power supply...
... to a Pascal-based Danish integrated amplifier with active linestage and full-featured D/A converter...
... to a Goldmund-made Swiss stereo amp sold direct for tremendous price/performance power...
... to a flagship-level expensive Swiss tube preamp which proves the breed's ongoing relevance in the face of digital sources with variable outputs...
... to an affordable valve integrated from Canada...

... to finally a compact and affordable do-it-all trio from the US (just add computer/transport and speakers) which shares this award with one from Down Under contributor John Darko on his DigitalAudioReview.net site.
This selection demonstrates that traditional class A/B and switching class D output stages remain equally relevant; that integration of preamp/amp plus even D/A conversion and headfi can aim high and deliver; and that headphone listening really has gotten ultra serious with dedicated statement-level amps catering to this modality.
