Évo – It's Revival Audio's new Atalante 7 Évo [£9'390/pr], a 3-way with soft-dome tweeter and midrange plus 15" woofer in a Walnut or Ebony-veneered front-ported big box. The 28mm tweeter uses the Tetoron synthetic for its dome, a neodymium motor and rear-wave absorption tech claimed to be 97% effective. The 75mm midrange mirrors that construction but doubles up on the suspension. The woofer diaphragm includes basalt fibres sourced from lava stone and offers 10mm Xmax. The aluminium port with embedded flanges is said to reduce port noise by 94%. Sensitivity is 90dB, minimum impedance 4.4Ω/74Hz, the filter hinges sit at 340Hz and 2.25kHz. With stand the speaker measures 116 x 45 x 48cm HxWxD and weighs 67kg. Whilst looking like a classic Brit box from Harbeth or Spendor, this speaker is actually from France. Mais oui!
