Blast from my past – Goldmund's direct-selling Job range kicked off with the 225 stereo amp [$1'495] which hipped me to the virtues of wide-bandwidth DC-coupled class AB circuits. That quicker more crystalline sound left a mark which given my budget eventually led to Mr. Liu's Kinki Studio range with an intermediate stop at LinnenberG. But the Job 225 was instrumental in closing my doors on valve amps and many class A transistor amps voiced for similar warmth and mass. Today I favour more speed, energy and resolution. If my budget stretched that far, it could very well mean a Goldmund amp from their present catalogue. As is, my ownership of this Swiss circuitry based on a Tektronix oscilloscope remained restricted to the Job.
