V1-S – With their Project range, Furutech's engineers get to let their hair down and dig deep into the brand's technology coffers. Now that range has its own speaker cable to accompany the prior V1 power cord and V1-T tonearm cable. "At its core, the Project V1-S features a three-layer concentric combination of the best conductors Furutech have found for high-performance sound: their own silver-coated Alpha-treated Ohno cast copper; and Mitsubishi’s ultra-crystallized high-purity copper. This hybrid undergoes a two-stage cryogenic and demag process for maximized conductivity. The combination is then triple shielded and double insulated. Additionally, a specially engineered cable clamp improves grip and the cable incorporates Nano Crystal² Formula for excellent damping and to eliminate noise and interference. Externally the cable features a multi-layered sheath with a vibration-damping layer. High-performance connectors can be spade and banana configurations. These feature non-magnetic rhodium-plated pure copper conductors in one-piece constructions. The connectors’ bodies and cable damping rings feature a liquid crystal polymer resin which combines NCF with high-grade nylon and fiberglass. A standard 2.5m pair retails for £10'200 incl. VAT."
