Blast of my past – 2013 was my year of the W5 [CHF3.5K/pr] by way of Sven Boenicke's head-turning tiny speaker. 30x20x10.4cm outline it. To this day Ivette listens to it in her upstairs system. Like all modern Boenicke speakers, it's a solid-wood build with trick interior, 1st-order filters and a 'wideband tweeter' with more surface area and bandwidth than usual. It remains current as the entry into that Swiss speaker portfolio. It condenses everything Sven Boenicke holds dear to his ear. It's one of those monitor marvels which preach the less-is-more slogan very successfully. Many people don't need more, period. Those who do could simply add an appropriate sub.
