So, saved by the bell? I enjoyed your recent amp review for LinnenberG. I'd not heard of any powerful class A amp with a switch-mode power supply before. From your descriptions, there was nothing about the sound to suggest any disadvantage so do you think we'll see more of this combination from other manufacturers? Thanks. Rick Rafferty
I know of one or two more coming soon but it's not my place yet to tell who by. So for sure we will be seeing more powerful class A amps which are powered by switching supplies. My Crayon class AB amp uses one and so did the recent Nagra Classic INT. There's definitely a big future for SMPS custom-tailored to high-end audio applications well outside just class D. Srajan
