Srajan, based on my experience with newer Class D designs, I was not totally surprised that you found the dual LAiV Chorus amps tuned closer to the character of the 2.5MHz DC-coupled Kinki amps—direct, fast and informative—rather than the warmer more class-A-flavored Harmony GaNM monos. Your conclusion that if the Kinki/Goldmund style of sound—direct-coupled, high bandwidth, high slew rate, low distortion class A/B—appeals, the Chorus might be for you at a fraction of the cost. Do the Kinki amps including the Vinshine-Kinki Dazzle hold any advantage at a higher price or have they been displaced in your hierarchy? Michael

Unlike you I was surprised since the GaNM monos from the very same brand are voiced more like class A and certainly are a "newer" class D design. I couldn't at all predict that LAiV would go for a different tuning with their Crescendo amps. The Dazzle run in bypass is still in a different league. On my sound|kaos, the Choruses beat my Kinki stereo amp so just replaced it. Srajan

Quite a compliment to the LAiV Chorus dual-mono configuration! Thanks for the detailed review. Michael
