Time for an intermission with a few impromptu shots of Warsaw followed by the designer postcard versions.

Naturally, no city is at its best on a rainy November afternoon at the hands of a foreigner unsure of where to go and what to see. Compliments of a post card stand at the Bristol hotel [next image], Warsaw offers far more picturesque views to be sure.

First up, the castle square by night.

Then Freta Street in the Old Town.

Next, Piwna Street in the Old Town.

History buffs will want to visit the Historical Museum which spans a complex of 11 houses in the Old Town that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Poland's most famous son not only had the airport named after him but his very own museum in the Fryderyk Chopin Institute. A subsequent visit to the Filharmonia Narodowa under the baton of Antoni Wit would be mandatory for any kulturnik worth his salt. Warsawa visitors with less time on their hands like your truly will have to make do instead with a visit to record shops Empik and Traffic. Those netted priceless booty.
