The irregularly shaped sound room connects into the office on the left side and into the kitchen behind the speaker-facing chairs. That area is ~10 x 10m. It's interrupted by this spiral stair case...


... and the fireplace.



To the left of these two chairs is the entry area and an open hallway. Above the speakers is the loft...


... from which things looks like this. Given the loft, the ceiling right above the speakers is obviously double height.



Now you can correlate my findings in this space with how it is shaped and what it looks like. Credit is due to my wife who, against my sternest objections to move once again, took it upon herself to scour the local real estate adverts, sift through them for three endless months and finally suggested we look at this apartment. It had everything on our wish list: a garage for my hifi boxes; a lift to handle heavy speakers; a wraparound balcony; and space for a paint studio and 'mad room' for her other art projects. After much moaning and groaning about the moving process, I'm thoroughly pleased with the outcome. Here's how it sonically differs from the previous space.
