The Hi-Files Show in Belgrade, Serbia took place for the third time over two weekends, September 26/27 and October 3/4 in the conference rooms of the Holiday Inn hotel. Hi-Files editor in chief Ljubiša Miodragović
approached us with a request for syndicating his own show report to help popularize this event beyond the borders of his country. As he writes, "... the first weekend featured high-end systems comprised of Dynaudio Sapphire speakers with VTL amplification but also Opera Tebaldi speakers with Unison Research Pre+DM amplification and CDE as source. The third system had the Monitor Audio Platinum PL300 speakers with NAD Masters series electronics but we also have to mention the very attractive performance of Shanling and Usher.
"The second weekend offered a good opportunity to listen to the Audio Note Level Three system and Quad electrostatics. Visitors also had a chance to listen to systems of two Serbian manufacturers. One is already known among the 6moons audience - Dayens. The other is a brand-new company named Beyond Frontiers Audio.
Here is a video from the first weekend available from our Hi-Files website." Our thanks to Ljubiša for allowing us to share with our readers the good news that interest in fine hifi and music is alive and well in Serbia. It's very gratifying also to learn that in addition to Dayens, Karan Acoustics, NAT Audio, NN Acoustics, Raal Ribbon, Solaya Audio and Trafomatic Audio we already knew about, Serbia has gained yet another manufacturer contributing to our hobby. The following images of the first weekend are of the rooms by 4Audio (Unison Research, Opera Loudspeakers, MartinLogan, NAD, Audiolab, Monitor Audio),
AV impuls (Spendor, Leben, Neat Acoustics, Creek, Arcam, Beyond Frontiers Audio),
HighendFi (Cayin, Shanling, Usher, Siltech, Rega) and
Vox Trade (VTL, Dynaudio, Simaudio, Meridian, Transparent).
