As per the Swiss HighEnd Society, Jürg Schopper is Europe's largest seller of classic vinyl records with an inventory of 50.000 albums. On most, he can supply specific stories. He's so well versed, he routinely assists customers in determining whether certain pressings are bona fide rarities to justify their concomitant fees. Or are they really just overpriced wannabes?
Jürg Schopper also specializes in restoring Thorens TD 124 turntables and various deserving electronics of the 50s with original replacement parts. In proper Schweizer Deutsch—which I mostly understand but don't speak—Jürg held court with Urs Frei of Swissonor. Naturally the Thales tonearm too made an appearance in this retro vintage room. |

But the blue TD124 MkI started out the day with a tintillating zu verkaufen. Alas, this was soon x'd-out with a red sold. You snooze, you lose.

This TD121 with Thales AV110 arm and Ortofon A90 cartridge was protected by a don't touch sign.
