Special attention should be directed at the outdoor speakers disguised as lanterns. When the resident canine began barking and showing teeth, it was time to move on and inspect some humbler abodes on Garcia Street worthy of less dangerous day-dreaming.


Then it was back to Canyon to pick up our car and head back for rural Taos..


As the sign clearly states, should Santa Fe lose its charm to us one of these days, we're supposed to pick between Sedona and Maui. Taos doesn't seem to be in the equation at all.
