The new Casa Ebaen is a two-minute footwalk from Coral Bay beach and enjoys spectacular southerly views over the sea.

The new sound room connects to the adjoining kitchen/living-room through an open archway and a sizable entry hall on the other side of the sliding door behind the listening couch allows "room tuning" by adding yet further space to the acoustic air volume seen by the speakers.

The Cyprus building code limits new construction to three stories. Rather than timber and clapboard, think concrete, brick and stone. It makes the average turnaround for new construction 18 months but also meant that when the island had its last earthquake, the damage in the epicenter -- Pafos in Cyprus -- was virtually zero while Cairo in Egypt suffered major collapses. While I won't know until my reference system is installed, past experience suggests that this room should sound terrific. There's also a small media room that'll house the Gallo Ref3.1s and a modest 2-channel video system.
