Nanotec Systems keep innovating in the field of audio cables. In a previous review of their Golden Strada SP#79 Special and SP#79 SR we could do no other than reward their cables with a Blue Moon award. We had to. Especially the combination of two types of cables where the black-clad Special is used for the hot leg and the red SR for the return proved to be a sonic revelation; even more so when price was considered. Nanotec market these individual cables as entry level but in combination their performance belongs into much higher levels.

The ‘trick’ behind these cables is not just the quality of materials used. Of course the oxygen-free Ohno type copper is treated with a gold/silver colloidal liquid before the wires are sheathed in good-quality PVC. In our opinion the physical separation of leads for the positive and negative runs was the main sonic enhancer, the frosting on the cable cake.
